Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been contracted to complete a road development project in Gan, Laamu Atoll.
The agreement was signed by the Director General at the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Shaana Farooq and the Managing Director of RDC Moosa Ali Manik. Parliamentarian Mohamed Wisam, who attended the signing ceremony, thanked President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih for the government’s efforts to fulfill the pledge of the main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) to develop the inner roads in Gan.
RDC is tasked with paving asphalt on 4.5km of road as well as installing a stormwater drainage system and streetlights. The company is required to complete the project within one year and six months under a design and build policy at a cost of USD6.8 million.
