HPA urges to be vigilant to prevent spread of diseases during holidays

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that the number of cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, asthma and eye diseases has increased in the Maldives. Therefore, HPA has urged people to stay vigilant to prevent such diseases from spreading when travelling during the holidays.

HPA stated that the number of reported cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, flu and pink eye has increased. In addition, dengue and other diseases are also likely to spread. HPA stated that there is no COVID-19 outbreak in the region these days, but the disease is spreading in some countries.

HPA urged the public to take extra measures to prevent these diseases.
