Hoarafushi Island Council seeks contractors to develop school

Hoarafushi Island Council has announced that it is seeking contractors to develop an international school.

The aim of developing an international school in Hoarafushi, Haa Alifu Atoll, is to provide students with the opportunity to receive quality modern education from preschool to key stage five, according to the council. Under the project, a building on 11,406 acres of land with a surrounding wall and gates will be constructed. There will be a playground, a warehouse, a public toilet, and a designated toilet for students. In addition, the council will provide chairs for students to use. The school will be operated for a period of between 5-15 years and will start teaching in the 2023/24 academic year.

The opportunity to submit bids for the development of the international school has been open until December 27. Bids will be opened on January 10, 2023, at the Hoarafushi Island Council Conference Hall.
