Maldivian Ambassador presents Letter of Credence to European Council

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Maldives to the European Union (EU) Omar Abdul Razzak has presented his Letter of Credence to the President of the European Council Charles Michel held on December 16. The ceremony was held at the Headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council.

During the meeting that followed, President Michel welcomed Ambassador Omar and congratulated him on his appointment. Ambassador Omar conveyed warm greetings and good wishes from the citizens of the Maldives and President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

Both Ambassador Omar and President Michel reaffirmed the positive and growing momentum in the Maldives-EU relations over the recent years and re-confirmed their strong interest in further strengthening the excellent bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Omar was accompanied by Counsellor Mariyam Seena and First Secretary Fathimath Reena.
