Ministry of Higher Education has opened the opportunity to apply for 25 scholarship opportunities offered by Hungary.
The higher education ministry has opened the opportunity to apply for eight slots for a bachelor’s degree programme, 14 slots for a master’s degree programme, and three slots for a PhD programme. The ministry will be nominating candidates while the scholarship providers will be making the final selections. Interested individuals are required to submit their application by January 16.
In November, the high education ministry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hungary to increase the scholarships offered under the Stipendium Hungaricum programme from 15 to 25 slots each year. Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan said the Stipendium Hungaricum is one of the largest scholarship programmes offered by a foreign government and that it was a great opportunity for Maldivians to be able to study in a country such as Hungary.
