Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has appointed Judge Niham Rasheed as the Chief Magistrate of the Thinadhoo Magistrate Court in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.
JSC accepted applications for the position in November and Judge Niham had been the only applicant. He is currently the Chief Magistrate of the Rathafandhoo Magistrate Court in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.
JSC said it made the change in accordance with the guidelines on transferring judges to different courts.
