Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company Limited (MIFCO) has signed an agreement to expand the Gadhdhoo ice plant capacity.
The agreement was signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MIFCO Ismail Fauzee and the President of Gadhdhoo Island Council Mohamed Ahmed. Under the agreement, MIFCO will increase the processing capacity of the ice plant to 50 tonnes with additional 100 tonnes for cold storage.
Furthermore, CEO Ismail said the agreement was signed for the Gadhdhoo Island Council to hand over the land plot needed to expand the ice plant and that MIFCO aims to complete the project within three months.
