The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) has appointed two members to the SME Development Finance Corporation Private Limited (SDFC).
PCB appointed has appointed Ahmed Siraj and Mohamed Mujah Muneer as non-executive members of the Board of Directors of SDFC. The appointment letters of both members were handed over by the President of PCB Asim Mohamed at a ceremony.
Furthermore, PCB gave a presentation on the PCB Act and Corporate Governance Code. PCB also shared the findings of the financial and governance reviews and requested changes.
SDFC provides easy access to loans to small and medium enterprises as per the government's pledges. The main objective of the company is to provide financial assistance to newly established and growing small and medium enterprises in the Maldives by introducing soft loans targeting various economic sectors in a sustainable manner.
