President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that the late Ibrahim Manik was instrumental in the development of broadcasting in the Maldives. He made the statement in his message after signing the book of condolences opened in memory of Ibrahim Manik. The book was placed at Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu.
In his message, President Solih highlighted the dedicated service history of Ibrahim Manik and described his passing as a significant loss to the nation. The president wrote that the late Ibrahim Manik set an excellent example during his 27-year-long service. He further wrote that Ibrahim Manik was instrumental in promoting the local entertainment industry and noted his role in the progress of television and radio broadcasting in the Maldives.
Ibrahim Manik passed away at the age of 72 on November 30 while undergoing medical treatment in Bangalore, India.
