The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has revealed that judges have been presented letters of appointment to two magistrate courts.
JSC handed over the documents to the judges appointed to the Kudahuvadhoo Magistrate Court and Funadhoo Magistrate Court. Both judges have taken their oath and signed their affidavits.
Magistrate Yasir Mohamed was appointed to the Kudahuvadhoo Magistrate Court. He holds a Bachelor of Shariah and Law from Villa College and has served the judicial sector for three years. He was recently a legal officer at the Kudahuvadhoo Magistrate Court.
Magistrate Ibrahim Naeem was appointed to the Funadhoo Magistrate Court. He holds a Bachelor of Shariah and Law from the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) and a Master of Shariah and Law from Villa College. He has served the judicial sector for five years and was recently a legal officer at the Thulhusdhoo Magistrate Court.
