Muli Council to give out 135 land plots

Muli Island Council has decided to give out 135 state-issued land plots.

The land plots in Muli, Meemu Atoll, include five plots south of the island’s cemetery and 130 plots on the eastern side totaling 2,000sqft. Muli Island Council has dedicated 125 plots to residents of Muli and 10 plots to non-residents as part of the efforts to increase the residential population.

Muli Island Council will form a five-member committee to choose the recipients of the land plots. The council will only accept applications from Maldivian citizens above the age of 18 that do not have state-issued or private land registered under their name. Applicants should also not have any flats built by the government registered under their name and should have released or sold such premises two years ago.

Muli Island Council has disclosed details on the point system to be used while reviewing the applicants. Interested individuals can submit their application from December 4 to January 12.
