President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is scheduled to travel to Qatar to attend a FIFA World Cup 2022 match.
Speaking at a press conference, the Spokesperson at the President’s Office Miuvaan Mohamed said President Solih has been invited by the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and that he is scheduled to attend a semi-final or the final match of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
The World Cup began on November 20 and the final match will be held on December 18. It would be President Solih’s second visit to Qatar. His first visit was in March 2021.
