BML opens applications for Sports Scholarship

Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened applications for the Sports Scholarship.

Interested individuals are required to apply by December 8. Applications will be accepted if the applicant is a Maldivian citizen who has reached 16 years of age and is in a national sports team or squad or is an athlete in a sport affiliated with the Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC). The applicant should also not be currently training under a sports scholarship. The applicant is required to mail the necessary documents through their affiliated association.

BML introduced the Sports Scholarship as part of the series of 12 high-impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate its 40th anniversary. It stated the scholarship programme aims to support athletes achieve their sporting potential through targeted programmes and will provide three fully funded scholarships for top national athletes to train and develop at recognised high-performance training centres worldwide. The scholarships will be managed in association with MOC and will be open to all registered national sports associations.
