Virgin Atlantic to begin flights to the Maldives

Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL) has revealed that the famous airline of British tycoon Richard Branson, Virgin Atlantic Airways will start flights to the Maldives next year.

IASL stated that Virgin Atlantic will operate flights from London Heathrow Airport to Velana International Airport (VIA). The airline will operate three flights a week to the Maldives from October 22, 2023. IASL also stated that the airline is already open to booking tickets. A Boeing 9-787 aircraft will be used for the flights. It will have 31 upper class, 35 premium economy, and 192 economy class seats.

The Chief Commercial Officer of Virgin Atlantic Juha Järvinen said the Maldives is a popular destination among Virgin Atlantic Holidays customers. Therefore, he said the opportunity to travel to the Maldives on the airline will provide many conveniences for them.
