Judge Shaheed appointed as Acting High Court Chief Judge

Judge Hussain Shaheed has been appointed as the Acting Chief Judge of the High Court.

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) made the decision after the honorable resignation of Chief Judge Hathif Hilmy.

The High Court consists of 11 judges and every trial held by the High Court was previously presided over by a bench of three judges. However, recent amendments allow one High Court judge to preside over a case.
