Ministry of Islamic Affairs has opened an opportunity to participate in a course to train Imams and Khatibs in Cairo, Egypt.
The Islamic ministry said the training course will be funded by the government of Egypt to provide further development and training for Imams and Khatibs in the Maldives. The ministry said it will be a two-month course and the requirements of the course include fluency in the Arabic language, individuals already working in the relevant field, and a Level five or above certificate in a religious field or a license to give religious lectures and preach. The ministry also said that the selection of the most qualified candidates for the course will be based on their ability to read and write Arabic fluently and their experience in the field.
The ministry has opened the deadline for submitting application forms until November 17. Interested candidates are invited to submit their application forms along with attested educational certificates and curriculum vitae in Arabic before the deadline.
