President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has conferred the President's Award for Special Achievement and the Special Medal for Memorising the Noble Quran to 65 recipients. The awards were presented at the official function to mark the 55th Republic Day held at Dharubaaruge' convention centre. First Lady Fazna Ahmed, state dignitaries, and government officials attended the function.
The recipients of the awards included 13 individuals who memorised the Noble Quran at the highest level, nine individuals for their achievements in attaining an Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA) Level 10 qualification and publishing their research in an international journal, and 41 individuals for their achievements in the completion of their Level 7, 8 or 9 qualifications. The recipients also included an individual recognised for his skill, creativity, and innovation that contributed towards national development. This award is open only to youth who attain exceptional achievements by applying their skills and talent.
Additionally, an award was also given to Capital Travel and Tours Private Limited for its contributions to excelling in human resource development in the tourism sector. Meanwhile, Mohamed Akram was awarded the National Award for Special Achievement for his exceptional creativity and innovation that enhanced national development. was awarded the National Award for Special Achievement for exceptional achievements in developing human resources within the tourism sector.
