President of the International Union of Universities (IUU) Professor Dr. Muhammed Khair Al-Gabbani has extended an invitation to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to participate in the OIC Halal Expo 2022 to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, from November 24-27. He also expressed interest in holding the conference in the Maldives next year.
During a meeting held with President Solih, the IUU stated that the expo would assist the Maldives in expanding the country’s education sector, enhance technical capabilities in the health sector, and leverage investment opportunities in other sectors important for national progress. Dr. Al-Gabbani shared information on the union’s activities with the president. He presented the president with brochures on conferences and seminars and a book on the progress achieved by Turkey in the field of medicine. Dr. Al-Gabbani also presented the president with a special commemorative plaque.
Speaking at the meeting, President Solih welcomed the IUU President and his delegation to the Maldives and spoke on the important development sectors of the Maldives.
