FSC launches fundraiser to aid individuals who require IVF

The Fertility Support Community (FSC) has launched a special fundraiser to aid individuals who require In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) treatment. It was launched at a gala dinner night organised by FSC in conjunction with World Fertility Day.

Speaking at the gala, Founder and President of FSC Asha Hussain said the community has opened the fund to provide financial assistance to couples for IVF every year. She said, however, two more couples have been given the opportunity with the help of a generous donor. The opportunity was provided by Yaami Fertility and IVF Centre in India.

IVF is a procedure that allows individuals who are deprived of fertility due to natural obstacles to conceive, with the help of modern technology. Couples who are 25 years of age and have been married for at least two years are eligible to apply for the IVF Fund and individuals under 25 have the opportunity under special circumstances.

FSC was established in January 2021 as a non-governmental organisation (NGO). FSC aims to raise public awareness about fertility problems, providing information on available treatments to address the problems associated with this phenomenon, and providing psychological support to those suffering from fertility complications. Currently, the association has more than 250 active members in different parts of the country.
