Avid College offers courses in collaboration with UWL

Avid College has signed an agreement with the University of West London (UWL) to offer courses.

Chairman at Avid College Abdulla Mushtaq Rashad and Vice-Chancellor at UWL Professor Peter John signed the agreement. With the signing of the agreement, Avid College is preparing to launch three courses in collaboration with the University of West London, including a master's level course and two degree-level courses.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mushtaq said that the permissions of the Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA) have been obtained to start the courses. In addition, he said collaborating with a renowned university will provide a lot of information to the students studying at Avid College.

Avid College aims to expand the services provided to different parts of the Maldives. The college also notes that collaboration with external bodies allows its students and staff to gain access to the UWL library as well as learn about their methods and techniques.

Avid College was established in 2005 as Avid Training Centre to provide higher education in the Maldives. The college has provided higher education opportunities to hundreds of students over the past 17 years.
