The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has taken action against Judge of the Civil Court Hassan Faheem Ibrahim over giving a verdict that was in violation of court procedures.
Judge Faheem has admitted to giving a verdict without summoning the defendant and the accused to court. JSC stated that the judge had concluded the case without giving all parties involved the opportunity to present their evidence and statements in court.
JSC has found that Judge Faheem’s action was in violation of the Judges Act and the Judges' Code of Conduct. As such, the commission has instructed him not to repeat his action and to complete a training programme.
