Chief Magistrate of the Goidhoo Magistrate Court Ahmed Nishar has been suspended.
Judicial Service Commission (JSC) stated that Chief Magistrate Nishar has admitted to only attending to his duties at Fulhadhoo Magistrate Court and neglecting his duties at Goidhoo Magistrate Court. JSC stated that documents have also proven that Nishar had neglected his duties.
JSC has suspended Chief Magistrate Nishar for 14 days without pay for violating Article 33 of the Judges Act and the Judges' Code of Conduct.
