Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has delivered the letter from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to the Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarik.
Minister Shahid handed over the letter to Foreign Minister of Oman Badr Albusaidi during his visit to the country as the Special Envoy of President Solih. During the meeting, the two foreign ministers agreed to strengthen efforts to increase people-to-people contact and cooperation in several areas of mutual interest, as well as to take further develop the relationship between the two countries.
Minister Shahid is also scheduled to meet Minister of Heritage and Tourism Salem bin Mohammed Al-Mahrouqi, and hold discussions with the Oman Investment Authority, to explore avenues for cooperation in the areas of tourism and investment.
Minister Shahid is accompanied by the Non-Resident Ambassador of the Maldives to Oman Mohamed Khaleel during the visit.
