Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted to develop the main roads of Ukulhas, Alifu Alifu Atoll.
The agreement was signed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTCC Adam Azim and Director General at the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Shaana Farooq.
MTCC is tasked with laying asphalt on the roads spanning 2.68km, which include all the main roads in Ukulhas. The state-owned company will also be installing a stormwater drainage system and streetlights. MTCC is tasked with completing the project within 14 months at a cost of USD3.8 million.
