President concludes visit to Kaashidhoo

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has concluded his visit to Kaashidhoo, Kaafu Atoll.

During his visit, President Solih attended the official ceremony to commemorate National Farmer's Day and World Food Day 2022. Speaking at the ceremony, the president said the administration decided to increase the amount of the agricultural loan offered to farmers to USD129,000 in order to address the concerns and grievances of farmers.

Following the event, President Solih attended a special banquet hosted to mark National Farmer's Day and World Food Day and visited the agricultural exhibition held to mark Farmers’ Day. He also met with members of the farming community, the island council, and the women’s development committee (WDC), and visited the healthcare centre on the island.

Prior to travelling to Kaashidhoo, President Solih visited Sun Island Resort and Spa and attended the games of the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Maldives Challenge 2022, the highest-ranked sporting event hosted in the Maldives. Promoting the Maldives as a destination for international sporting events is a presidential pledge. It is the sixth international competition held in the Maldives this year.
