The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has begun investigating a magistrate for neglecting to hold a sentencing hearing.
JSC is investigating the Magistrate of Seenu Hithadhoo Magistrate Court Rafeeuddin Ahmed. The case involves Magistrate Rafeeuddin allegedly violating the regulations by neglecting to hold the sentencing hearing in a criminal case within 30 days after hearing the closing statements.
JSC has formed a committee to conduct the investigation of Magistrate Rafeeuddin’s disciplinary case.
