First Lady Fazna Ahmed has concluded her three-day visit to Fuvahmulah City to participate in the festivities of International Day of Older Persons.
During her visit, First Lady Fazna participated in various activities organised jointly by the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services, the Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO), the Maldives Police Service (MPS), and the Fuvahmulah City Council.
In Fuvhamulah, First Lady Fazna met with the members of the community social group, IBAMA, attended the official ceremony held in Hafiz Ahmed School to mark the International Day for Older Persons and attended the final match and awards ceremony of the Ground Golf Tournament.
During the final day of the visit, First Lady Fazna visited the homes of some of the most elderly people in Fuvahmulah City and participated in the Three Generation Walk as part of the festivities for the International Day of Older Persons. The walk is a social celebration event aimed at uniting parents and grandparents across three generations. The walk was held from the Valifannu area to Sports Park in Fuvahmulah.
Following the walk, First Lady Fazna visited the stalls at the Family Evening event held at the park, watched children's dance performances, and spent time with participants of all ages. Many families attended the walk and the Family Evening event from across three generations in Fuvahmulah.
