Housing applicants requested to confirm approval of co-applicant

The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has requested individuals who have submitted joint application forms for the Binveriyaa and Gedhoruveriyaa housing schemes to confirm the approval of the co-applicant agreement.

The ministry made the statement to address the complaints regarding unapproved co-applicant agreements for the housing applications submitted via the Gedhoruverin portal. The ministry noted that joint applications cannot be submitted if they have unapproved co-applicant agreements and that the co-applicants need to enter the portal and approve the agreement. The ministry noted that the deadline for submissions is on October 15 and requested all applicants to check if the status of their application forms confirms that it has been submitted before the deadline.

The ministry plans to give out 4,000 housing units under the Gedhoruveriyaa housing scheme and 5,000 land plots under the Binveriyaa scheme, which includes 1,000 land plots from Hulhumale', 2,000 land plots from Gulhifalhu, and 2,000 land plots from Giraavaru. Over 19,400 applications have been submitted for the scheme so far.
