HDC signs contracts to conduct four projects in Hulhumale'

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed agreements with contractors to carry out four projects in Hulhumale'. The agreements were signed by the Managing Director of HDC Ahmed Athif.

The four projects signed by HDC include the development of a worker's accommodation building, an auto centre, a parking building, and a daycare centre. The purpose of the projects is to improve the quality of all services provided to the community in Hulhumale'.

Rotime Engineering Technology Private Limited would be developing the worker's accommodation building which will have 18 blocks that can accommodate 7,000 labourers and 2,000 hospitality staff. Each of the blocks should have rooms to accommodate four to six people, toilets, prayer rooms, and shops. The project will also include offices, a security room, a conference hall, and a medical room. The project is scheduled to be completed within 14 months.

The auto centre, which is being developed by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) to provide safe garage services, is a five-storey building of 35,400 acres. The building will be designed to collect rainwater under the sustainable city model. The building will also use solar power and charging stations for electric cars. The project is scheduled to be completed within 24 months.

The 2,700-square-foot parking building is a six-storey building dedicated to vehicle parking. The building will have solar panels to generate solar energy, as well as shops and restrooms for the convenience of the residents. The building will also include parking services for people with special needs. The project is scheduled to be completed within 24 months.

The daycare centre will be developed by Associated Business Agents Maldives Private Limited (ABA) and will be a 3,000-square-foot, six-story building. The centre will be designed to provide all the services of modern daycare. The centre will also have a special clinic for children with special needs. The project is also scheduled to be completed within 24 months.
