The Government of India has handed over vehicles procured for the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) under Indian grant assistance.
Foreign Secretary of India Vinay Mohan Kwatra officially handed over the vehicles to Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi at a special ceremony. Minister Mariya thanked the government and people of India for their unconditional, generous support to their neighbour.
Foreign Secretary Kwatra and Minister Mariya also held discussions focused on further boosting the India-Maldives defence cooperation. The minister thanked India for the unwavering support and assistance to enhance the capabilities of the MNDF and the defence sector.
