Foreign Secretary of India Vinay Mohan Kwatra has arrived in the Maldives on a three-day official visit on the invitation of Foreign Secretary of the Maldives Ahmed Latheef.
During his three-day visit, Foreign Secretary Kwatra will call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed, and cabinet ministers. He will also meet with Foreign Secretary Latheef to discuss ongoing collaborations between both governments.
Foreign Secretary Kwatra's visit is his first to the Maldives since assuming office in May 2022.
