Fenaka Corporation Limited is offering a total of 30 apprenticeship opportunities in Madaveli in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, and Kelaa in Haa Alifu Atoll.
Fenaka opened the apprenticeship opportunities as part of the National Apprenticeship Programme being conducted by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment. The company opened the opportunity for residents of Madaveli and Kelaa to apply for training in electrical installation and maintenance by October 10. All chosen applicants will receive a monthly allowance of USD194 during the six-month programme and will receive a level-3 national certificate upon completion.
Fenaka and other companies have been conducting training programmes for the youth under the National Apprenticeship Programme. The purpose of the programme is to train young people, especially the marginalised youth, in various skills to allow them to become job-ready and productive members of society. Currently, 250 individuals are participating in apprenticeship programmes being conducted by 11 companies.
