MNP concludes National Congress

Maldives National Party (MNP) has concluded its first National Congress.

A total of 270 congressmen participated in the MNP National Congress. The event was split into three sessions at which members were appointed to various positions in the party. The members also discussed and amended various party policies and regulations.

Additionally, party members established party policies related to religion and nation, the rights of citizens, national development, the economy, justice and law, national peace and security, peace in the community, as well as physical and mental health.

At the closing ceremony, the President of MNP Mohamed Nazim reiterated the party will be running in the 2023 presidential election and will award its ticket to the winner of the presidential primary. He also announced his interest in running in the presidential primary.

Various party leaders and foreign ambassadors attended the closing ceremony.
