The Maldives and Laos have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation between the two countries.
At a ceremony held on the margins of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the MoU was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives Abdulla Shahid, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos Saleumxay Kommasith,
The signing of the first agreement between the Maldives and Laos marks an important milestone that strengthens bilateral cooperation as the two countries celebrate 10 years of diplomatic relations this year.
