Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) has held Human Rights Fair 2022 at the Hulhumale’ Central Park.
HRCM held the fair in collaboration with various state institutions and organisations. As such, stalls were established at the fair to provide information on the work of the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services, the Children's Ombudsperson's Office, the Pension Office, the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA), and the Family Protection Authority (FPA).
HRCM said children, adults, and the elderly attended the fair and participated in music shows and other recreational activities and 15 individuals received prizes through a lucky draw. The fair was held to increase public awareness of the roles of HRCM and other institutions and organisations at the event. The visitors were also provided with information on how to obtain services from the authorities.
