Maldives and Saudi Arabia sign MoU on Political Consultations

The Maldives and Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Regarding Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of both countries. The MoU was signed at a ceremony held in New York, United States (US) on the sidelines of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

The MoU, signed by the Maldivian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid and the Saudi Arabian Minister of Foreign Affairs Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, aims to enhance and expand the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. The MoU will also facilitate the holding of regular consultations between both countries at all levels on bilateral relations and international issues of mutual interest.

The signing of the MoU expresses the strong brotherly relations between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia, and the shared desire and commitment of the two countries to elevate the existing partnership to even greater heights.
