Visa Exemption for Maldivians travelling to Kazakhstan

Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that Maldivian nationals travelling to Kazakhstan will be exempted from visa effective from September 14, 2022. The visa exemption will allow Maldivians holding valid Diplomatic, Official, and Ordinary passports to enter and stay in Kazakhstan for a maximum period of 30 days from the day of their entry.

In accordance with the visa exemption agreement signed between the two countries on May 9, 2022, Maldivians intending to stay for a longer period or to work or attend an educational institution or conduct business in Kazakhstan, will need to obtain an appropriate visa prior to travel.

The ministry said the Government of Maldives views the visa exemption to Kazakhstan as a commitment to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries and an important milestone that will facilitate stronger people-to-people contact, business and investment opportunities for both the Maldives and Kazakhstan.
