Maldivian Ambassador presents credentials to Japanese Emperor

Ambassador of the Maldives to Japan Hassan Sobir has presented his Letters of Credence to Emperor Naruhito. He was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Maldives to Japan.

During the formal ceremony held at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, Emperor Naruhito welcomed Ambassador Sobir and congratulated him on his appointment. Ambassador Sobir conveyed the warm greetings and good wishes of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of the Maldives to Emperor Naruhito and expressed assurances of his commitment to further strengthen the long-standing bilateral relations between the Maldives and Japan.

Ambassador Sobir was accompanied at the ceremony by Minister-Counsellor Mohamed Ameeth Ahmed Manik, and First Secretary at the Maldives Embassy in Japan Shafraz Rasheed.
