Dhiraagu, the first Maldivian telecommunications company, has signed an agreement with the Maldives Bureau of Statistics (MBS) to become the exclusive Digital Services Partner for the Census 2022.
Through the partnership with MBS, Dhiraagu will be providing digital connectivity and facilitating essential digital services throughout the census training and information collection period, for the Census 2022.
Director, Brand and Marketing Communications Mohamed Mirshan Hassan expressed delight to partner with MBS in facilitating this crucial national exercise that will shape the developmental future for the next few years.
Chief Statistician of MBS Aishath Hassan, appreciated the support of Dhiraagu in making the Census 2022 a successful exercise and creating awareness of its importance.
Census 2022 will be carried out from September 13-25 and will include a census of the population, residential homes, and economic activity centres. More than 4,000 enumerators and over 100 trainers have been recruited for this country-wide exercise, which will provide the key information at the national, atoll, and island-level to provide necessary public services effectively.
