Defence Advisor at the High Commission of the Maldives in Colombo Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Amir has discussed strengthening military ties with Sri Lanka. He held the discussions during a meeting with Defence Secretary General of Sri Lanka Kamal Gunaratne.
Lieutenant Colonel Amir was accompanied at the meeting by outgoing Defence Advisor Colonel Ismail Naseer. During the meeting, General Gunaratne praised the outgoing defence advisor for his cooperation extended to the Ministry of Defence of Sri Lanka while also commending him for his assistance that led to further strengthening of the existing ties between the two countries.
Military Liaison Officer of the Sri Lankan Defence Ministry Major General Dinesh Nanayakkara was also present at the meeting.
