Four companies to establish sports facilities on three islands

Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment has contracted four companies to establish sports facilities on three islands. The sports facilities will be developed in Inguraidhoo in Raa Atoll, Ban'didhoo in Dhaalu Atoll, and Mogoodhoo, in Faafu Atoll as part of the initiative.

As part of the agreements signed by the youth ministry, Al-Ameen Investment Private Limited has been awarded the contract for the establishment of a youth and community centre in Inguraidhoo at a cost of USD312,000. The company must complete the project within 120 days as per the contract.

Furthermore, Mekstar Maldives Private Limited was awarded the contract to set up a youth and community centre in Ban'didhoo. The project costing USD299,000 must be completed within 120 days.

Moreover, the two projects to be conducted in Magoodhoo were contracted to two companies. As such, the construction of the sub-base of the football stadium was handed over to TA Construction and Trading Private Limited for a cost of USD143,000 to be completed within 55 days. In addition, Coline Maldives Private Limited was contracted to supply and install the turf required for the stadium within 70 days at a cost of USD407,000.
