Chair of Public Accounts Committee at the Parliament of the Maldives Mohamed Nashiz has been appointed the Chair of the Commonwealth Association of Public Accounts Committees (CAPAC).
Parliamentarian Nashiz was appointed to the position with support from member countries. He also served as the vice-chair of the committee last year.
CAPAC, which has 52 member countries, was formed in 2015 to support the work of Commonwealth Public Accounts Committees in promoting good governance, implementing the declaration on these committees contained in the Communiqué of the November 2013 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
