Roadmap for National Asset Recovery System established

Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has formulated the roadmap for the National Asset Recovery System.

The roadmap was developed following a workshop for the members of the technical committee formed for the purpose. The three-day workshop was successfully concluded and the technical committee developed a roadmap for the establishment of a National Asset Recovery System and identified what particular agencies will undertake and the time frame. The certificates to the participants were handed over by President of ACC Adam Shamil.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the workshop, Vice-President of ACC Abdul Salaam said the professionals who participated in the workshop had done a historic job assuring the steps to fully establish the system will be done by the commission.

The workshop was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Attorney General's Office (AGO), Prosecutor General's Office (PGO), Auditor General's Office (AGO), Maldives Police Service (MPS), Financial Intelligence Unit of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA), as well as Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB).
