Addu City Council has signed a national-level agreement with the Table Tennis Association of Maldives (TTAM) to develop and expand the sport in Addu City.
The agreement was signed by the Mayor of Addu Mohamed Nizar and the Vice President of TTAM Ibrahim Shiury. The agreement includes the appointment of a permanent coach to Addu. It will also provide opportunities for players from Addu to participate in major local and international tournaments and train local coaches. In addition, equipment and facilities required for the sport will also be developed in Addu.
World Table Tennis Day (WTTD) was also celebrated in Addu this year.
