Container Park prepares to open for SME businesses

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced that the construction of the Container Park in Hulhumale' will be completed by the end of the month and provide the opportunity for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

HDC said the container park, which is being developed as a completely new concept for the Maldives, will be a pleasant experience for the residents and visitors of Hulhumale'. HDC said the next step will be to plant trees in the area following the construction of the park. HDC said the applications will soon be open to those interested in running the cafe' developed in the park. 

The park is developed with different coloured containers designed at a low height of two floors and will be accessible for people of all ages. The corporation stated the park is being developed for residents and investors in Hulhumale', in order to create a space for community engagement and collaboration. It also stated the park will be designed to accommodate cafes, exhibition spaces, and co-working spaces.

The park will have an open and green space created to receive the most amount of sunlight, an exhibition space, and a terrace equipped with the concept to hold art and craft exhibitions, reading gatherings, and live events.
