Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with the council members and public officials of Nolhivaram, Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
At the meeting held at the Secretariat of the Nolhivaram Island Council, Vice President Naseem inquired about the most pressing developmental needs of the residents of the island. The council members shared with the vice president concerns related to the sewerage network and road construction projects, the need for a new powerhouse, and space constraints in the school. They also discussed with the vice president ways to address the needs of the youth, including developing a sports facility.
At the meeting, Vice President Naseem shared with the representatives the latest updates on the developmental projects and plans for the island. He also affirmed the commitment to equitable development and noted that it would seek ways to expedite ongoing developmental projects. Regarding space constraints at the school, the vice president said that a project to develop a multi-purpose hall was in the tender stages.
During the visit to Nolhivaram, Vice President Naseem visited the healthcare centre and met with the management and staff. He also met some patients and inquired about their well-being. At the school, he met with some students and encouraged them to strive for good results.
