Gov't hands over construction of two school buildings

Ministry of Education has handed over the construction of school buildings on two islands.

The education ministry awarded the contracts for the construction of a multipurpose hall for Filladhoo School, Haa Alifu Atoll, and a classroom building along with a multipurpose hall for Gulhi School, Kaafu Atoll.

The education ministry is working to establish modern educational facilities in all schools across the country. As such, Nexa Projects Private Limited was awarded the construction of the multipurpose hall of Filladhoo School for a cost of over USD846,000. Meanwhile, K&F Holdings Private Limited was awarded the construction of 06 classrooms and a multipurpose hall for a cost of USD1 million. Both projects are implemented under the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) and must be completed within one year.
