Landhoo Health Service has revealed the expansion of the health centre in Landhoo will be completed next month. The health centre expansion project of Landhoo, Noonu Atoll, is being conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.
Senior Administrator of Health Services Jaufar Rasheed told PSM News that the expansion of the health centre is underway at a fast pace. He said the administrative section of the health centre and the public sections such as the conference hall will be separated once the current section is completed. He also said that the current health centre will be utilised to provide clinical services. In addition, the vacant land adjacent to the centre is being developed as a public health park to accommodate visitors and others.
The work is being carried out at a cost of USD278,000 from the state budget. Landhoo has a population of over 1,100.
