Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced the issue with the check-in systems at Velana International Airport (VIA) has been resolved.
Speaking to PSMNews, General Manager Corporate Affairs Hassan Arif said the first priority was to fix the error of systems in the international terminal. He said all systems in the international terminal and domestic terminal have now been fixed. He detailed the check-in systems in VIA faced a software issue which is not something that has happened in the past. He assured work is being done to upgrade and strengthen the systems.
Due to a system failure in check-in systems at VIA, all passenger check-in was conducted manually which affected the international and domestic check-in systems.
