Ministry of Education has contracted a local company to develop an additional classroom building in Fohdhoo School in Noonu Atoll.
The project was awarded to Nexstar Maldives Private Limited. The contract for the project was signed on August 3 by Senior Policy Director at the Ministry of Education, Naushad Ibrahim, and the Managing Director of Nexstar Maldives, Ahmed Muzhin.
The project was contracted to Nexstar Maldives at a price of USD306,000. The project is expected to be completed within a duration of 110 days.
The project is part of a multitude of projects launched across the country to develop additional infrastructure for schools in the atolls. The projects aim to resolve difficulties faced in schools due to lack of space, and upgrade the capacity of the schools.
